For many of us, for the past few weeks we have felt as if the world has been put on halt. Were all confused and seeking answers to why this is happening. How can something so invisible change our lives within seconds? This virus known as COVID-19 has caused people all over the world to be unemployed and not being able to pay their bills or take care of their families.

Due to the impact of this virus, government official felt it needed/imperative to help the people by providing payments known as the Stimulus Payments to its residents.
HOW MUCH IS THE PAYMENT?
Individuals~$1,200
Married Filing Jointly~ $2,400
Additional $500 per child is available for those with qualifying child under age 17.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
For many Americans, who have filed their taxes before (either tax year 2018 or 2019) they do not have to do anything and payment will be automatically deposited into their account. Those that have never filed for many reason either because they made less than $12,200 or they were filed as a dependent they will have to take extra steps to receive their payment.
ACTIONS TO TAKE IF YOU HAVE NEVER FILED A RETURN!
If you've never filed a return before you will have to provide your payment information to IRS.
Information such as:
Full name, current mailing address and an email address
Date of birth and valid Social Security number
Bank account number, type and routing number, if you have one
Identity Protection Personal Identification Number (IP PIN) you received from the IRS earlier this year, if you have one
Driver’s license or state-issued ID, if you have one
For each qualifying child: name, Social Security number or Adoption Taxpayer Identification Number and their relationship to you or your spouse
Visit "NON_FILERS ENTER PAYMENT INFO HERE" to do so and remember to add any qualifying child under age 17.
In a few weeks ( Mid-April) IRS will have a link available where filers can check the status of their payment, update their payment type, or enter their bank information.
THE LINK TO DO THIS HAVE FINALLY OPEN PLEASE CLICK "GET PAYMENT STATUS".
Deadline to file 2019 tax return has been changed to July 15, so if you or someone you know have not filed yet, it is not too late and filing now will lead to receiving your STIMULUS PAYMENT faster. For more information on how to file your return please visit YUMA TAX SERVICES or call 404-543-9746.
I hope I gave you a better understanding of the STIMULUS PAYMENT and I hope you and your family are staying healthy and safe during this hard time.
